Tell us what makes you stand out
Nominees should provide concrete evidence that operational innovation has delivered measurable benefits to an organization. Strong entries should demonstrate clear improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, or organizational agility.
Think about:
What data you can provide – such as a reduction in cycle time, increased throughput, or stronger QA – to support your submission? What secondary impacts has the innovation had, such as on an organization’s growth, or achievement of longer term goals? Can you present any less tangible outcomes, such as boosted morale, better collaboration, or improved stakeholder confidence?Entrants should outline their approach to process from analysis and design through to implementation and continuous improvement. This might include stakeholder consultation, pilot testing, employee engagement, or the use of data and feedback loops to refine outcomes.
Think about:
What makes your engagement or consultation approach so effective? What is unique, or innovative, about your process or engagement strategy? What has driven the engagement approach or process – people, technology, training, or another area? With operations management becoming increasingly data-driven, judges will be keen to see examples of how analytics, automation (including through use of AI), and digital platforms have been used inventively to improve organizational operational performance.
Think about:
Whether you have improved the flow of important data and information to stakeholders, and considered how it is delivered. How your innovative use of technology or data has empowered people to perform better in their roles. What outcomes have been achieved that would not otherwise have been possible without the use of technology?Winners’ rewards
