Think about:
Whether your approach to accounting has helped the business grow? Did you help save time, or resources? Have you engineered a permanent shift in how accounting is seen and valued within the organization?
Efficiency, transparency, and collaboration are crucial within accounting – your nomination may focus on how you have improved processes, or wider business stakeholder engagement, in improving these areas. This might be through embedding accountancy within project teams, introducing “continuous close” in place of month-end calculations, or creating more engaging / “plain language” reporting for stakeholders.

Whether you have improved accounting and financial literacy across the business? If accounting has evolved from a back-office function, to an active problem-solving and decision-making partner? How your change in process or engagement strategy is new, bold, or innovative.Data and technology are pivotal driving forces behind effective accounting. Nominees may focus on this theme, showing us how you have harnessed technology or data to automate streamlined processes, how AI tools have assisted more accurate forecasting, or how use of dashboards or real-time reporting have improved decision-making.
